FIDIC ACES Contracts Course Module 1, Serbia, 07-08 November 2017
The 1999 FIDIC Conditions of Contract are being increasingly used by the international Construction Industry throughout the World. In Europe they are used by the European Commission for all of their projects throughout Central and Eastern Europe. The Multi-Lateral Development Banks, including the World Bank, Islamic Bank for Development and the Asian Development Bank all have adopted the 1999 FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction with modifications.
This practical training course, provided by professional engineers with extensive international experience, explains and illustrates the use of the 1999 FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
Goals:
This course provides a basic outline on the FIDIC conditions, their linguistic understanding, the relationship between the various clauses and fundamental principles, as well as an outline to the foundations of international ventures.

The course is designed to help the participants have confidence in working with these documents whether representing Employers, Consultants or Contractors.

Trainer:
Mr. Zoltan Zahonyi, M.Sc in Civil Engineering
Mr Zahonyi has a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Budapest, 1991) and a post graduate degree in Law (Budapest, 2004). Zoltan Zahonyi has been involved with FIDIC’s activities since 2006. He is a member of the FIDIC Updates Task Group No. 6 for updating the 1999 Suite of FIDIC Contracts (since March 2009) and of FIDIC Contracts Committee (since September 2009). He is also Member of FIDIC Yellow Book Subcontract Task Group (since September 2011). Zoltan is a FIDIC Accredited Trainer training for FIDIC worldwide.
Zoltan is a FIDIC contracts expert, independent advisor, dispute adjudicator for the local and international projects, claims and variations management, taking part in a large scale project preparation and management schemes for local and international projects. He has as well participated to the translation of several FIDIC Contracts into the Hungarian language.
Mr Zahonyi has experience of all facets of Contracts Management and Dispute Resolution on a multitude of civil works.
