Mr Jasper VALLENTGOED

Currently I am project manager at PRO6, with focus on technical & engineering management. Using my experience in application of BIM and lean tools for our clients to enhance collaboration and Information management on projects.

After graduation in 2004 Civil Engineering I started in 2006 at the Dutch contractor Royal BAM group as a site engineer. Soon after I encountered several 3D/BIM as an Engineering Manager on Design and Construct projects in the industry sector which opened my eyes for the undeniable benefits BIM in combination with integrated concurrent engineering has to offer.

The mix of 3D/BIM, design and construct and an Integrated project delivery approach motivated me to start my Masters at University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht form which I graduated in 2012.

My master Thesis research was about positioning BIM within lean processes, integrated concurrent engineering and Life Cycle Engineering combined with the organizational changes needed for implementation of BIM within BAM Civil Engineering. The Thesis was awarded for most innovative thesis (http://bit.ly/1tFy2LB)

From 2012 till 2015 I was responsible for managing the implementation within BAM Civil/Infra, shaping the BIM vision and development of implementation strategy and fine-tuning the implementation process between different internal and external stakeholders on a day to day basis.

I am working in the Project Management Division for Egis. The main issue of my work is the implantation of BIM in ours teams by information management process. I am also a Ph.D student since two years. My research focuses on modelling and information structuration, consistent with BIM process.

In this context, I participate to the national French project MINnD (Modelling of interoperable information for sustainable infrastructures) and to the European normalisation program (CEN) about product properties dictionary.

I am graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mecanics and a Master degree in Teaching Civil Engineering for higher education (2006 – 2011, at Ecole Normale Supérieure de CACHAN), and with a Master degree in Urban Engineering, Sustainable Urban Development at Paris Est Marne-la-Vallée University.
