In a little over two months’ time, global infrastructure leaders will gather in Geneva to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing the engineering, construction and infrastructure sector at the second annual Global Leadership Forum Summit.

The summit, which is organised by FIDIC, will see around 100 of the world's most influential infrastructure leaders gathering to exchange knowledge and discuss solutions and actions to address key industry challenges in Geneva on 25-26 April 2024.

As well as discussing the key topical issue of the role of AI in infrastructure and its potential to transform the sector by optimising processes, reducing costs and enhancing safety in infrastructure projects, business leaders at the summit will also discuss the GLF’s new Carbon Collaboration Initiative, which will develop a common, replicable and standardised process of calculation and disclosure of embodied and operational CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) emissions related to infrastructure projects. The summit will also look at the latest progress on market intelligence benchmarking which will help leaders measure their company’s progress and success against the best in the industry.

The now well-established Global Leadership Forum brings together industry leaders from across the global infrastructure sector to focus on the key issues facing industry and society and, crucially, to propose solutions to those key issues. Commenting on April’s summit, FIDIC CEO Dr Nelson Ogunshakin said: “This second GLF Summit will provide a meaningful forum for leaders in the global infrastructure sector to connect with peers from around the world to share knowledge and to discuss solutions to major issues facing them, their leadership teams and organisations. I look forward to seeing a number of tangible outcomes from the summit which will enable us to rise to the challenges and opportunities facing the global infrastructure sector.”

Attendance at the summit is by invitation only and requires pre-registration and approval. The event will also enable attendees to take part in unrivalled networking opportunities with other construction, infrastructure and business leaders, making for a must-attend gathering in Geneva from 25-26 April 2024.
