FIDIC would like to make the industry aware of a decision taken to extend the validity of the certificates for the FIDIC Certified Consulting Engineers (FCCE) pilot programme.

In accordance with the regulations of the FCCE pilot programme, the certificates issued for the first batch of 512 FCCEs expired on 28 November 2019.

In order to ensure that the normal business activities of the FCCEs are not affected by the expiration of their certificates and to safeguard the interests of FCCEs and their employers, the FCCE Certification management board has, after thorough consultations and in agreement with FIDIC, decided to extend the expiry date of the 512 FCCEs’ certificates (certificate number ranging from CE-00001 to CE-00512) until 30 November 2020.

No certificates will be renewed or issued, only extended. The FCCEs, their relevant organisations, clients and contractors should make themselves aware of this proposal and note the action taken.
