Short summary experiences
As a legal practitioner specialising in construction law, I have more than thirteen years of experience in the resolution of contractual disputes in the international construction industry, with a particular focus on ex-Soviet countries. I have been involved in all aspects of the dispute resolution process, from the submission and defence of claims to the referral of disputes to FIDIC Dispute Boards and international arbitration. As part of my practice, I have advised and acted on behalf of contractors, employers and engineers on infrastructure projects with a cumulative value of approximately USD 820 million. As a counsel and contracts specialist, I have taken part in more than 40 Dispute Board and arbitration proceedings. The disputes have dealt with virtually the entire spectrum of issues that can arise under FIDIC forms of contract, including land acquisition and delays in hand-over of the Site, errors in the design and liability for re-design, variations, Unforeseeable physical conditions, remediation of defective work, extensions of time and delay analysis, entitlement to prolongation costs and delay damages, termination, and entitlement to payments following termination.
