Short summary experiences

I have been a partner at Fenwick Elliott LLP for almost 20 years. Fenwick Elliott LLP is the largest construction and engineering law firm in the UK and we specialise solely on construction related issues globally. This means that In have gained considerable practical experience in how construction projects operate and a wealth of understanding on a number of technical issues, for examples relating to design, defects, delay and quantum. _x000D_I have sat as sole adjudicator in 2 party adjudications over 20 times._x000D_I have also advised and represented contractors, employers (including governments), subcontractors and consultants in more than 100 adjudications and more than 50 DABs in more than 25 jurisdictions under various contracts including FIDIC 1987 Red, 1995 Orange, 1999 Red, Yellow, Silver, MBD, NEC as well as EPC, EPCM and bespoke contracts._x000D_This includes advising on pre-contract, procurement and pre-tender issues. You cannot advise on a live project or dispute unless you understand how the contract is set out and operates. _x000D_I regularly advise parties during projects, as and when individual issue arising, perhaps helping with correspondence, focussing on key issues in order to help avoidance disputes from arising. _x000D_I have also assisted in putting claims together, both drafting claims and working with technical experts, including delay and quantum. Where those claims have not been resolved amicably, I have represented parties in contested disputes including, drafting drafting and preparing submissions and representing parties in contested hearings before both DABs and Arbitration tribunals. Examples are set out in the section above._x000D_In addition to the practical experience outlined above, I have considerable experience in training and teaching about the FIDIC Contract, which of course increases my understanding of the contract. For example, I was chosen to be one of two trainers for FIDIC/DRBF to provide training on the 2017
