FIDIC Trainers Accreditation Pre-Assessment, Bucharest, January 2016
FIDIC is arranging for the fifth time, the assessment of potential candidates for trainer accreditation, through the FIDIC Assessment Panel for Accredited Trainers.
The assessment process is a two part process.
First, FIDIC requires all candidates to supply relevant background information in order to determine whether candidates possess qualifications and experience suitable for accreditation.
The deadline for the applications is January the 17th, 2016.
This pre-assessment phase is now open and all applicants should send their application and register online. Details on the application procedure and pre-selection criteria are available on FIDIC web site at: http://fidic.org/events/accredited-trainers

Only candidates who are able to demonstrate relevant experience and qualifications will pass the pre-assessment phase. The pre-assessment results will be personally communicated before the 15th of February 2016.
The qualification criteria for applying to become a FIDIC Accredited Trainer include the following:
- applicants are invited by FIDIC or recommended by a local Member Association, if one exists in the country;
- applicants must demonstrate practical FIDIC experience in international or national projects, extensive knowledge of the main FIDIC contracts and confirmed past training experience;
- applicants should send their complete application to the FIDIC Secretariat; this shall include all the following documents:
- Up- to-date CV
- Details of relevant qualifications
- Evidence of specific training and professional development in international or national construction contracts
- Evidence of attendance to at least one FIDIC course covering the FIDIC training module envisaged for the trainer
- Details of any professional memberships
- Evidence of practical experience as a construction consultant and trainer (in particular as related to significant construction and similar contracts - this should include suitable references from persons involved in the contract(s) in which you have acted as consultant, whom FIDIC may contact to confirm your role in the proceedings and to gain knowledge of your performance, dates, duration and nature of the contract).
- Evidence of other relevant matters (e.g. involvement in Member Association, Training Supplier or other reputable lists).
- Details of affiliation to FIDIC (e.g. member of National Association) and a letter of support from that association.

Secondly, candidates who have passed the pre-assessment selection will be invited to register for the assessment workshop of three-day duration.
During this assessment, case studies and similar tests are used to assess candidates' broad understanding and practical experience in construction contracts.
The assessment workshop will take place in Bucharest, Romania, during 22-24 March 2016.
