The prices quoted in the FIDIC bookshop are in Euros (EUR) excluding carriage, packing and order processing costs. They are subject to change without notice.
Catalogue prices of electronic publications (on CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and online) are given for single users.
Limitation of use of downloadable PDF sold on the bookshop
In order to protect FIDIC material, all our single downloadable PDF bought on our website will be provided in an encrypted PDF format to be activated using the FileOpen plugin. Once the document is installed using the fileopen plugin on a specific computer, the client will only be able to read the document on that computer for a limited time of 1 year. The document will be printable 10 times during that period of time. For extended use of the electronic document the client will need to buy the product another time or ask for a licence agreement at fidic@fidic.org. More information on the FileOpen plugin is available at www.fileopen.com.
Limitation of use of iPad Tablet version sold on the bookshop
In order to protect FIDIC material, all our single iPad Tablet version bought on our website will be provided in an encrypted electronic format to be activated using the FileOpen Viewer. Once the document is installed using the fileopen viewer on a specific device, the client will only be able to read the document on that device for an unlimited time. The document will not be printable. For extended use of the iPad Tablet version the client will need to buy the product another time or ask for a licence agreement at fidic@fidic.org. VAT and customs
The prices of FIDIC Publishing products are exclusive of duties and taxes. It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the fiscal or customs authorities to pay the duties and taxes.
Depending on the country to which products are being delivered, customs duty, VAT and other taxes may be levied. These duties and taxes are to be paid by the customer, who is entirely responsible as regards both declarations and payments to the competent authorities and bodies in the country concerned. Relevant information can be obtained from local authorities or sales agents in the country concerned. These agents will be handling your order and dealing with all aspects specific to the country.

Payment is due at the time of ordering. Payments can be made:

FIDIC reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a customer with whom there is a dispute concerning payment of a previous order.
For products published in partnership with other publishers, you must send your inquiries and orders directly to those contacts.
Availability
Our offers of products and prices are valid for as long as they appear on the site. We will supply goods ordered depending on the availability of stocks. Details of the availability of a product are given at the time of ordering.
Should a title be unavailable, you are invited to submit your e-mail address so that we can send you an electronic message advising you that the product is newly available following a reprint or re-publication.
Should a title become unavailable following your order, we will inform you by e-mail or letter as soon as possible.
If you have paid by bank transfer and all or part of your order proves unavailable, your money will be reimbursed as soon as possible by crediting your bank account.
Delivery
Delivery is made to the address given when you order. Delivery times are approximate and represent average delivery times corresponding to the time normally required to process and deliver an order. FIDIC may not be held responsible for any consequences of a delay in delivery, particularly in the event of a force majeure, computer breakdowns, and disruption or strikes affecting postal services, transport or communications.
Returns
Any return of an article for exchange or reimbursement, within fifteen days of receipt of the goods ordered (indicating the references of the invoice concerned) shall not be subject to any penalty. However, the costs of the return are to be borne by the customer, unless the return is due to an error on our part. Goods must be returned directly to our Customer Service department. Beyond that fifteen-day period, the delivered goods will be deemed as complying with your order and accepted by you.
In the event of a return following a delivery error on our part or a fault with one of our products, the article(s) may be replaced or reimbursed once received by our Customer Service department, depending on your wishes and product availability.

Availability
Our offers of events are valid for as long as they appear on the site.
Should an event be fully booked, you are invited to submit your e-mail address so that we can keep your name on a waiting list and send you an electronic message advising that a place has become available.
The organisers will acknowledge the registrations by e-mail. Registrations will be handled on a first come-first served basis.
While every effort will be made to keep to the published programme, the organizers reserve the right to change times and venues.
Changes to the Event
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of FIDIC to change the contents and/or the timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue. In the unlikely event of the programme being cancelled by the organiser, FIDIC will automatically make a full refund. The organisers cannot be held liable for any pre-booked travel or accommodation costs.
Cancellations policy
Refunds (less 10% cancellation charge to cover administration costs) will be made for cancellations received in writing by the organisers no later than 14 days before the seminar. After this date it is regretted that refunds of fees will not be made. Substitutions can be made at any time.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event if it is under subscribed or for any other reason. In the event of cancellation delegates will be given two weeks notice and the fee will be refunded in full. The organisers cannot be held liable for any pre booked travel or accommodation costs.
Transfers & Substitutions
Transfers can be made free of charge up to 7 days before the event or course. No transfers can be accepted 6 days or less before the event or course. Substitutions may be made at any time.
Overnight Accommodation & Travel
Delegate travel and overnight accommodation are not included in the seminar fee. Participants are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements.
Visas
FIDIC recommends you check your visa requirements with your local embassy or consulate. Visa invitation letters to support visa applications can only be sent out once we have received your registration form and full payment of the registration fees. Please apply in good time.
Included in the Fee
The fee includes tuition plus the cost of all lunches, refreshments, tuition and written documentation. The fee does not include transport, visas or overnight accommodation.
Applicable law - Disputes
Our aim is to settle any disputes amicably in the framework of these general conditions of sale. Any question or complaint should be sent to FIDIC fidic@fidic.org.
These general conditions of sale are governed by the law of Switzerland.
