Salvador P. Castro, Jr., first Filipino Civil Engineer conferred as ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), is also an APEC and ASEAN Engineer.

With over 40 years’ experience in project management, he was Project Director of Guinness Book of World Record’s biggest residential palace- Istana Nurul Iman of The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam. His landmark projects in Brunei earned him the Presidential Citation (Pamana ng Pilipino Award) for Filipino Individuals & Organizations in 1998, electing him as Fellow of Association of Project Management (UK).

A FIDIC Contracts International Accredited Trainer & FIDIC Affiliate Member, he is JICA’s resource person on MDB Contract & Dispute Board for its ODA Loan Projects in the Philippines.

He advocates dispute avoidance & resolving disputes “real time” through DB Approach. He is in the List of Adjudicators of CECOPHIL, FIDIC National Association in the Philippines.

He is Arbitrator & Mediator of Construction Industry Arbitration Commission, Philippine Dispute Resolution Center & Hong Kong International Arbitration Center; accredited Mediator on Court-Annexed cases and Professor II of Philippine Judicial Academy-Supreme Court.
