Short summary experiences

Chartered Engineer with over 50 years of professional experience in civil engineering and technical assistance projects world-wide. He joined DIWI Consult in Essen, Germany, in 1971 and from 1989 to 2010 was responsible Director for DIWI's International Operations, dealing with feasibility studies, design and tender documents and construction supervision of civil engineering projects including airports, motorways, highways and waste water treatment plants. He has in-depth knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and has carried out the duties of “The Engineer” and Project Director for numerous donor-funded projects worldwide. He retired from full-time professional work in 2010 and from 2011 until 2019 was a mentor on FIDIC’s Young Professionals Management Training Programme (YPMTP). He is a partner in DFS and is currently co-director of the new FIDIC Future Leaders Certificate (FLMC) program. He is a member of FIDIC's Sustainable Development Committee.
He also is a freelance consultant for project management, backstopping and co-ordination and an advisor/trainer on the administration of FIDIC contracts and on Sustainable Development.
