A best practice webinar, organised by FIDIC’s directors’ and secretaries’ advisory council and supported by the FIDIC membership committee, is set to highlight some of the successful and impactful initiatives being undertaken by FIDIC’s global member associations (MAs) which are making a positive difference to member firms in their local area and the wider industry.
The free webinar on Tuesday 25 June 2024 entitled, How a collective industry voice makes change happen - Highlighting MA best practice and making a difference, will highlight some of the best practice success stories of FIDIC member associations and how these have benefited MA member firms and the industry in their country.
FIDIC’s MAs are involved in a wide range of activities in their geographical regions which bring the industry together around common issues and to address key challenges. The webinar will highlight some of these with a view to sharing that learning amongst attendees so that they can be inspired and encouraged to undertake similar initiatives in their areas, including for regions with less well-resourced MAs.
The webinar, which will be moderated by Helen Davidson, CEO of ACE New Zealand, will highlight a number of best practice success stories through the experiences of FIDIC member associations from Australia, Kenya, Germany and Jordan and show how these have benefited MA member firms and the wider industry. Speakers at the event are Sascha Steuer, director of the Verband Beratender Ingenieure (VBI), FIDIC’s member association in Germany, Jane Mutulili, chair of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya and Jonathan Cartledge, CEO of Consult Australia.
The webinar will also look at the benefits for MA's member consulting engineering firms from getting involved with their association’s work and will be useful for all FIDIC members regardless of size.
