Session 1: Building resilience and agility to deal with future crises – 1.30pm CET to 2.20pm CET

This session will look at how the infrastructure industry builds resilience and improves its capacity to deal with future global crises, including the possibility of a second wave of Covid-19. Some key questions to consider include: -

  • How do we ensure that businesses are better prepared to deal with global pandemics and other crises?
  • What does the industry need to learn from its experience during the Covid-19 crisis?
  • Should designs, operations and infrastructure be better structured in the future to avoid total lockdown?
  • How can the industry become more resilient and better able to deal with future crises?
  • How can governments help the industry to build resilience?
  • What role can global organisations like FIDIC play in disseminating best practice in this area?
