FIDIC chief executive Dr Nelson Ogunshakin is speaking at the extraordinary general meeting of the Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria (ACEN) on Thursday 30 July 2020 which is taking place virtually on the Zoom meeting platform.

The theme of this year’s event is "the survival and strengthening of consulting engineering practice in disruptive and uncertain times", which is especially relevant as the construction industry continues its journey out of the Covid-19 crisis.

The EGM of ACEN is an important forum in the association’s calendar for member firms to meet to discuss and debate topical issues and take key decisions to reposition the association to ensure that it can work more effectively for members and prepare them to take advantage of the immediate and future opportunities opening up in the Nigerian economy..

ACEN, which represents more than 300 consulting engineering firms in Nigeria, is a member of FIDIC and its members play a key and influential role in the rapidly developing infrastructure sector in Nigeria.
