Short summary experiences
I am a legally qualified quantity surveyor with over 35 years of construction industry experience as a commercial director, commercial manager, quantity surveyor, contracts consultant and legal representative. For the past sixteen years my focus has been on dispute resolution matters and I have acted as the client representative for employers and contractors in DAB proceedings on several large international projects under various FIDIC contract forms. Disputes have included entitlement to extensions of time, additional Cost and alleged defective works. My role has involved case management, drafting statements of case and witness statements and advocacy of my client's position in DAB hearings. _x000D__x000D_Examples of my DAB experience include representing the employer defending claims for additional time and cost in excess of $200 Million USD brought by the contractor on two new container terminals in Peru and in Costa Rica respectively. The projects involved extensive dredging and reclamation works, marine structures, berthing, cranage, causeways, mechanical and electrical services and buildings. I have also acted for a contractor client in DAB proceedings pursuing cost claims on a new Commuter Rail network in Istanbul. The project involves the upgrading of 63 kilometres of the commuter rail system through the metropolitan areas on both sides of Istanbul strait and the construction of a railway tunnel of 14 kilometres under the Bosphorus in Istanbul. _x000D__x000D_I have also acted as client representative in contract and statutory adjudications on over 50 occasions on building, civil engineering, infrastructure, oil and gas, power and utilities, marine and wind farm projects in the UK and overseas.
