Short summary experiences
I am a Civil Engineer with 35 years professional experience as a designer, construction manager and consultant.
As Head of Logistics Department, Construction Manager, later Head of Tender and Contracts Department in the biggest steel structures contractor in Bulgaria Metalni Construczii for more than 10 years, I managed international contracts in Bulgaria, Israel, Serbia, Russia and Greece.
From 1998 I started my career as a consultant in the supervision of works under the first FIDIC contracts, implemented in Bulgaria in the Kozloduy NPP. In 2000 I founded EQE Control as a company of EQE International (acquired by ABS Group in 2004). I continued my career as a Partner and Managing Director of the company, focusing mainly on project management of complex international projects. I managed the consulting services for the biggest project in Bulgaria: 600 MW TPP AES Galabovo (1,4 billion EUR), 156 MW St Nikola Wind Park Kavarna, 176 m high Europe Tower Sofia, Business Park Varna, 6 World Bank Cross-Border projects.
I have more than 25 years FIDIC experience: preparation of tender documentation; Resident Engineer/ Engineer in nuclear safety/ waste management/ infrastructure EC financed projects; claims consultant; presently DB/DAB/DAAB.
From 2013 I changed my position to Marketing Manager, in order to allocate more time to construction law, focusing on training, claims management and dispute prevention/resolution under FIDIC contracts.
In the last years, I was involved as a contracts manager in high speed railway projects in Bulgaria for more than 1 billion EUR, co financed by CEF (Connecting Europe Facility). As a FIDIC Accredited/Certified Trainer in the last 6 years I delivered trainings in English, Bulgarian and in Russian for more than 1600 participants from 50 countries.
Presently I am the FIDIC Engineer in 4 Yellow Book water supply contracts, FIDIC expert in a Silver Book contract, adjudicator in Pink and Red Book contracts.
As Vice Chair of the FIDIC Contracts Committee, besides the overall responsibilities for all FIDIC contracts in the pipeline, I am the liaison for the drafting of 6 new subcontract forms, and FIDIC guidance for net zero.
