Event
This updated Module 4 online course is an essential knowledge development opportunity especially for all those, who are involved in the everyday management of FIDIC contracts. The course is designed to help the participants increasing their confidence in working with FIDIC’s major construction contract forms whether representing Employers, Consultants or Contractors. The online course format includes all the features of the “normal” (conventional) subjects of the Module 4 FIDIC training, focusing mainly on contractual mechanisms, project management features of FIDIC’s major contract forms – elaborating on the details of acceptable best practices.
The updated online course is traditionally built upon the 1999 FIDIC Red Book, however, as a new feature, it introduces the recent updates of the 1999 Conditions of Contracts by summarising the most important developments as published in the 2017 forms. As a basic feature, the sessions are concluded with a brief questions & answers part, providing appropriate opportunity for the participants to deepen their knowledge as they feel necessary.
The training programme will be delivered in 9 online sessions on nine training occasions of approximately 1.5 hours duration each. As part of this course the participants will be given 8 real-life based case works to elaborate and each session is started by discussing the solutions. The (average) time span in between the training occasions is two weeks, enabling the attendees to elaborate and discuss the case work solutions, all conveniently supported by the Podio training platform applied for the online course.
The course starting date will be confirmed as soon as the minimum number of participants is reached.
Admission criteria: good understanding and speaking level of English, basic familiarity with the major FIDIC Contract Forms is of an advance.
