Programme overview
The focus of this FIDIC programme is to strengthen the business expertise of young engineers and other professionals working in the field of consulting engineering. It also offers networking opportunities and an insight into FIDIC global activities. The programme entails five case studies, six webinars followed by a test at the end of the programme, as a condition for obtaining the FIDIC certificate of completion. To facilitate participation around the world, the programme is delivered online in two time zones.
FIDIC has always offered attendance at FIDIC's Annual Conference as part of FIDIC’s Future Leaders Management Course. Attendance at the Conference and the networking opportunities which it offers has been one of the many highlights of the programme and the FLMC programme also intends to offer FIDIC’s 2022 online Annual Infrastructure Conference at a discounted rate.
Graduates of the FLMC programme are entitled to participate in the activities of FIDIC’s Future Leaders Group led by the Future Leaders Council (FLC). The group aims to promote and empower Future Leaders (FLs) within the FIDIC community to participate effectively in shaping the future of the Consulting Engineering Industry and provide networking opportunities and regular get-togethers.
Make sure you join us in Geneva in September 2022 for unrivalled international networking!
In Geneva in September, current and previous FIDIC Future Leaders Management Certificate participants have a unique opportunity to engage professionally with course trainers and fellow young professionals. A final two-day session held at the FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference 2022 in Geneva provides further lectures and discussions with trainers and among students. Due to this 2022 conference being the first in-person event for some time, we are also inviting previous FLMC participants from the last two tears to attend as well. There will be intercultural exchanges involving around 30 nationalities who will come together to discuss a variety of approaches to the management issues discussed as part of the programme. An important element of the two days is the unrivalled networking opportunity which can serve as the basis for future international cooperation as consultants. The final assignment of the course is a presentation delivered at the full FIDIC conference, The Future Leaders Workshop, of the teams’ perception of their challenges as future leaders in the consulting industry.
