This 2-day intensive course will provide a thorough understanding of the three main FIDIC contractor-design (design-build) forms of contract widely used in international projects: the EPC/Turnkey (Silver Book) form of contrat, the Plant & Design-Build (Yellow Book) and the relatively recent (2008) Design-Build-Operate(Gold Book) form. An important part of the course will cover making and defending claims under FIDIC contracts.

We will also be reviewing the new 2017 editions of the Yellow and Silver Books – the first to be published since 1999. Your course leader William Godwin QC, legal member of the FIDIC Updates Task Group responsible for drafting the new 2017 Books, will highlight for you the main features of the new forms and how they compare and differ in key respects from the widely used 1999 editions.
