FIDIC Conditions of Contract are now the international language in infrastructure projects throughout the world. The three courses have been designed to offer a complete and effective understanding on the management of contract claims and the resolution of disputes. The design-build obligation which provides a long term commitment by the contractor is intended to ensure sustainability of projects; while the FIDIC Procurement Procedures Guide provides the internationally accepted framework for project procurement.
Whist Module 2 provides practical advice to those working with the FIDIC Conditions of Contract in the management of claims, understanding, defending and achieving the resolution of disputes, Conditions of Contract for DBO Projects provide for award of a single contract to a single contracting entity (consortium or joint venture) rather than awarding separate contracts for design-build and for operation. On the other hand, the Procurement Guide provides a transparent and systematic approach to the procurement of engineering and building works. It encompasses the processes from identification of a project up to receipt of tenders and award of contract.
