The Louis Prangey Award has been established to be presented from time to time to a person who has rendered significant service to the Federation and/or to the profession of independent consulting engineering, and who exemplifies the objectives of the Federation.
The following procedures shall apply to this Award:
- The Award shall be available both to members of Member Associations and to distinguished non-members, but serving members of the FIDIC Board shall be ineligible.
- The FIDIC Board shall consider and make written nomination of a candidate for the Award, together with supporting information concerning the nominee, to the Past Presidents Council.
- The Past Presidents Council shall consider and advise the Board concerning each such nomination.
- The Award citation, together with a suitably inscribed plaque, shall be presented to the Awardee, preferably by the President, at a General Assembly Meeting or an alternative appropriate occasion, as soon as practicable after the Award has been decided.
